IX. All the dogmas of the Christian religion are without dis-

tinction the object of natural science or philosophy ; and human reason, with no other than an historical cultivation, is able from its own natural strength and principles to arrive at true knowledge of even the more abstruse dogmas, so only these dogmas have been proposed to the reason itself as its object.
