C. Priddy, a member of the National Lodge, were united in marriage according to our

rites. In this case the Imperator conducted first the symbolical ceremony whereby the uniting of two souls was symbolized, and then, with relatives of the couple assembled in the center of the Temple, the Imperator, as a Priest of the Pristine Church of the Rose Cross, performed the formal legal ceremony * * * * .” There are many accounts by Lewis in his literature concerning his officiating as a priest—but the above quo- tation is sufficient.
