III. fPhil. iv. 6. Be careful for

nothing : but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanks-
fivuig, let your requests be naade nown unto God. 8 Pial. Ixv. 2. O thou that hear- est prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come.
fa John xiv. 13. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will 1 do, that the Father may be glo- rified in the Son. Ver. 1 4. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. 1 Pet. ii 5. Ye also, as hvely stones, are built up a spi- ritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, accept- able to God by Jesus Christ.
i Rom. viii. '26. Likewise the Spi- rit also helpeth our infinnitieg: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought : but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us
with groanings which cannot be uttered.
