Chapter 190
II. lleligious worship is to be given to God, the Father,
Son, and Holy Ghost ; and to him alone ' : not to angels, saints, or any other creature '^ : and, since the fall, not

Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. Ver. 5. 'I'hou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them : for I the I^ord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon tlie children unto the third and
fourth generation of them that hate me : Ver, G. And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my command- ments. Col. ii. 23. Which things have indeed a shew of wisdom in will-worship and humility, and neglecting of the body, not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh.
