II. ^ John iv. 42. And said unto

He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself; lie that believeth net GeJ, hath
made him a liar, because he be- lieveth not the record that God gave of his Son. Acts xxiv. 14. But this I confess unto thee, thac after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the Gcd of my fathers, believing all things which are writ- ten in the law and tJie prophets.
