IV. I Gal. iii. 8. And the scripture

foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all natio.Ms b* blessed. 1 Pot. i. 2. Elect accord- ing to the foreknov^'leiige of God the Father, through sanctification of the .Spirit unto obedience, and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ. Ver. 19. But with the precious blood of Christ, us ot" a lamb without blemish and without Rjiot : Ver. 20. Who venly was fore- ordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you. Rom. viii. DO. Moreover, whom he did predesti. nate, them he also called ; and whom he called, them he also justified ; and whom he justified, thvm he aho- glorified.

they are not justified, until the Holy Spirit doth in due
time actually apply Christ unto them ".
/ V. God doth continue to forgive the sins of those that
/ are justified ° : and although they can never fail from the

under God's fatherly displeasure, and not have the light
of his countenance restored unto them, until they humble
