For if by one man's offence death reigned by one, much more they which receive abundance of grace, and of the gift of righteousness, shall reign in hfe by one, Jesus Christ. *^Acts X. 44. While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word. Gal. ii. 16. Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Clirist, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justi- fied by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law : for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses. Eph. ii. 7. That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace, in his kindness towards us, through Christ Jesus. Ver. 8. For by grace are ye saved, through faitli ; and that not of yourselves ; it is the gift of God.
