1733/4, March 18, London—Georgia. The following was this day adopted by the Grand Lodge of England:
“Resolved that all the Masters of all regular Lodges who shall not bring in their contribution of charity, do at the next quarterly communication give the reasons why their respective Lodges do not contribute to the settlement of Georgia.”’

It is now reasonably certain that, beginning shortly before this date, a Lodge was doing Masonic work in Georgia.
