XX. ^. Save, Lord, and hear me^ O King of Hea-:

fuejj : when 1 call upon Thee.
Glory be to theFather,and to theSon^d^^^ As it was in the Beginning^d'v. PRAYER.
O Almighty God J the Father of the Spirits of all Flejh^ whofe never-failing Frovidence orderetb all things both itt Heaven and Earth : I defire^ with the profoundcfi Humi- Uty and Reverence^ to froftrate both Soul and Body before theej^egging that thou would' ^ give me Grace ^to behold ani admire thy Doings ^ in all thy Difpenfations towards my felf and all Mankind, I acknowledge it thy Bounty, that I ever 7vas at all ^ and adore thy Mercy and Long-fufftring for pre^ ferving me thus long in the Land of the Living. My many Days and Tears of Health and Comfort were thy Gift ; And the Recoveries from former SickneJJeSy as 7vell a tion ofthofe Dangers and Difeafes I never felt , are owing to thee alone, Man doth not live by Bread and Care, nor is re- lieved by Medicines cnly^ but by the Word and Blejfingy 'which proceedeth cut of the Mouth of God. Grant me^ J befeech thee^ a firong andd^e Senfe of my entire Depe?}dance tiponThee, ci7:d Grp.ce to improve under^ and behave my flf in conformity to, that Verfwajion, That^ whether the - Means ujed fer my Eafe and Relief fucceed, I may afcribe all the Glory and Thanks to thee alone ,* Or whether thou thinkeft fit to deny them their intended Effecisy I may humble my felf under thy mighty, Handy and remember that thou\ j^prdy' hafi done it. That I may hear the Rod, and who hath appointed it • and, in all Conditions, fuhmit my felf entirely to thy good Fleafure, and glorifieGod in the Day ofVifitation.
