Hea- ven and Earth are thlne^ and all that therein is. I de- fire, with iinglenefs of heart, to dedicate my felf to thee, never to retrad the Gift, but continue thine for ever. Accept me therefore, entirely devoted to thy Service from this day forward, a Sacriiice of Praife and perpetual Thankfgiving. I call thofe blefled Spi- rits to witnefs, who, tho invifible to Human Eyes conftantly allift at our Solemn Ads of Religious Wor- liiip : Humbly befeeching thee, that the Oblation of thy dear Son's Blefled Body, reprefented in this Sa- crament, may be efTed-ual for the Salvation of Me^ and of all thy faithful People.
I offer to thee, Lord, my manifold Sins and Tranf- greffions, my corrupt Inclinations and vicious Habics^j which, from my Youth up until now, have fo grie- Voudy provoked thy Wrath and iuft Indignation^ tob^ a^whole Burnt Sacrifice. Slay them, O Lord, before thy Altar, and confume them in the Fire of thy Love that not any theleaft Spot of Guilt may remain behind.- Purge my Confcienee from their Stain, and wipe out' their very Remembrance. Reitore to me thy Graeey which my Sins and wilful Negled have lb often f ^ t fi^ited. What Satisfaction can I make for all my Injuries and bold Affronts to thy righteous Laws^ but that alone of humble Confeflion, deep Sorrow^ and hearty Pray- ers^ for thy Acceptance of thy Son's Atonement ? I do moil heartily bewail and deteft all my Wickednefs, andj by thy Grace^, will never be guilty of the like any more. I do^ and will to the laft Minute of my.. Life, grieve for thefe Follies, and am defirous, by my future Carriage, to teftify the Truth of my Repen- tance, and make the belt Reparation I am able for the Scandal I have given formerly. O Lord, pardon • O Lord, forgive^ defer not for thy own fake, O my God ,• but let thy Mercy be glorified in fparing the Soul of thy Servant, whom t\iou haft redeemed with thy moft precious Blood. Behold, I commit my felf whol- ly to thy Mercy, and depofite my Spirit in thy Hands. G deal with me according to thy great Goodnefs, and not after my Sins and grievous VVickednefs.
To thee I humbly offer all in me that is good. A very poor imperfed Offering, I withftame confcfsit,- but, worthlefs as it is, I beg thou wilt accept it. Sup- ply my Defedls, fan^lifie and exalt what is debafed with Infirmity or impure Mixtures ; difdain not my iincere, tho' weak. Endeavours ; and enable me daily to do better ; and raife at laft this flothful, unprofita- ble Creature to fuch degrees of Virtue and fuccefsful Activity, as may, by the more diligent ufe of thy Grace, end in a blefs'd and bright Eternity.
I alfo offer up to thee the Prayers and good Wifhes of all that have interceded for me, or defired my In- terceffions for Them : The NecefTities and Diftrefles of my Friends and Relations, and all that have done good to Me, or Others, for thy fake ; imploring, that thou wouldft aflift them by thy Grace, comfort them in their Troubles, protedthemin all Dangers, deliver them from Puniftiment and Death Eternal ; and fore- fcue them, from all Evil, that ;hey may magnifie thy,
