AMAZIAH AND JOASH. |

jsent unto him a prophet, which said unto him, “Why -hast_thou_sought_ after -the_gods_of the people, which could not deliver -their.own people out_of thine hand?”
16 And it came_to_pass, as he talked with him, that the king said unto him,
‘forbear ; why shouldest_thou_be_smit- said, “I -know that =God hath_c deter-
