VI. If any plea were to consistory brought, they should appeal from thence to the archdeacon,

and from thence to the bishop's court, and from the bishop's court to the archbishop's, and from thence to the king, and no further. So that in conclusion, the complaints of holy church must come before the king, and not the pope.
