XI. Archbishops, bishops, and all other ecclesiastical persons in the kingdom, who hold of the

king in cnpite, enjoy their possessions of our lord the king as a barony, and, for that reason, are to answer to the kinsj's justices and ministers, and to follow and perform all royal rights and customs ; and. like other barons, ought to appear at trials in the king's court, till they come to pronouncing sentence of death or loss of members.
