I. There are two types among members who

attend classes. “The one is more or less interested and ready to /isten, Given a popular leader and a not too abstruse subject, the meeting holds their attention, the leader of the class doing practically all the work. ‘This is, properly speaking, not a study class at all, but an informal lecture. As such it may have its use, but members should not accustom themselves to think of it as study.
The second type wants to /earn. “These members are rarer, but it is for them that this booklet is intended, ‘They will not shirk the effort required for the systematic study of any subject that has been selected.
