A work of considerable erudition and research, it contains copious references to the Order and Dr. Westcott’s writings, of whom be speaks in high terms— his Masonic order the “Ancient and Primitive Rite” was not popular and brought some abuse and discredit on his head. However his Writings exhibit patient research and careful study; and this AVork should find a place in every Library; I believe it is a continuation and enlargement of the prepious one which having- become very scarce, decided the Author, to reissue it in an enlarged form.
